It was always a tradition, long ago, at Gatherins for the seannachies or bards of the various clans to relate the genealogies, traditions, tales and struggles of the ancestors. The tradition continues at Th’ Gatherin’. Between sessions by Th’ Gatherin’s musicians, bards will retell the ancient stories.
Clan bards will tell stories of the Clan’s ancient past; who they fought, why they fought and how they came to be dispersed around the world.
Between stories and musical sessions, shop and barter with the many Celtic hawkers of beautiful Celtic goods.
Take a ride around Th’ Gatherin’ behind th’ big horses.
11:00 PM Th’ Last Tattoo by the lone piper.
Start saying yere farewells, pack up yere new memories, head for home an’ hold fast tae th’ next “Gatherin”.
